New Knowledge, New Skills

In our everyday lives, we cannot evade from discovering new things that add knowledge. These things might be of great help in the future. And if passionate about continuous doing of  the said activity, skills will be developed and honed.

During the first half of the first semester, I have learnt a lot of new things. It includes all of the information and topics that are needed to know about a certain subject. I am certainly fond of electronics for I just love math and science combined. ICT is also quite interesting by means of the newly introduced words, terminologies, and names of great contributors especially in the field of internet.  We also got a chance to blog. Thus by doing so, our capabilities in writing improve little by little. 

Certain nuisances cannot be avoided in doing new things. In the first few days of discussing, I was still having difficulty in adjusting to the new environment and getting to socialize with other people I have not known. Doing something different was not a challenge of mine because of me being quite a fast learner. The thing that urged me to overcome these problems are my eagerness and determination. Also, if it piqued my interest, I cannot disregard not doing nor learning about it.

Now that the next part of the first semester has arrived, I will still continue to discover new things and to give everything my best in order for me to succeed. Not only to succeed but also to develop my skills and talents more.

A lot of people wish to change the world yet they don't think of changing themselves first. Issues and concerns are increasing in number. People would comment about helping in fixing the world bu their words are empty. They keep on saying things as I may quote, "Change is needed", "The world needs change". If we look behind those words, is it that they are trying to transform it even if they haven't changed themselves first? Change should start within. Before, I was also a part of the group who always goes on and on about change being a must. But now, I realized that, that thinking I had was immature for requesting the having of change without changing yourself is quite ironic if you ask me. Heritage From the Past

Culture and heritage. Kannawidan is an Ilocano term which means feast of heritage and culture. This year marks the 202nd foundation of the province that separated from Ilocos Norte by a Royal Decree on February 2,1818. Kannawidan is an annual celebration of the province of Ilocos Sur. This festival of Ilocanos aims to restore the habit they have and showcase their inheritance from preceding generations. Kannawidan is derived from the Ilocano term "tawid" meaning inheritance. Just like in the previously held Vigan City Fiesta, there is also a food and trade fair located at Tamag grounds and the products are more diverse since it features different goods coming from the 22 towns of Ilocos Sur. There are also rides that people will enjoy. Additionally, Kannawidan is much more let's say extravagant in a way since artists come to the province and Ilocano fans have a chance to meet them up close.
